The Antikythera mechanism is an astonishing device recovered from an ancient near a Greek island. Built more than two thousand years ago, it used dozens of bronze to predict the movements of the sun and moon. Historians regard it as the earliest known analogue , far ahead of its time. Its sophistication suggests that ancient possessed knowledge we long underestimated.
